JK, it’s organized. I can really see it better though.
(PS: this actually happened like a month ago, but I didn’t get around to posting it because school got in the way)
I really didn’t mean to spend four … five … possible closer to ten hours doing it, but I went to get some tulle out to wrap a present (don’t judge — I was out of tissue paper) and I managed to knock over an entire box of bobbins and spill half the fabric from the bin the tulle was in.
So the bin system that I’d stuck with for five years was out. The whole thing was flawed — I was constantly losing fabric, forgetting about it, and the aforementioned spillage was really annoying.
Luckily, my what-am-I-going-to-do-with-my-fabric freakout coincided with a trip to an Office Depot, sparking a moment of realization. I asked my mom to ask one of the employees and got one of their empty cardboard boxes (for free). At home, I cut it up into rectangles, like so.
And rolled my fabric onto them like so.
And did that about fifty times.
Isn’t is pretty?
The one downside is that it takes up more room than my old system so I’m going to have to do some stash-busting before I can buy any more fabric 😦
